Hey Heather, I haven't tried that site, but popular among my friends is called Good Reads. You and your friends can see what the others are reading and what they rated books they have read. It's pretty handy to get book ideas, but I admit I never update mine. I can invite you if you want and then I think you have access to my list of friends too for an even bigger range of recommendations.
